Well I don't even know where to start on this post, So I'll just start....It's been sorta a long hard road for our whole family the past few weeks...but it's Getting better and I can see God's hand in it and in Everything sometimes I think God pulls us through the storms of life to see the beauty on the other side. He has truly shown me that he is the awesome and Great healer. My mom as you know broke her leg at Lowe's about 2 weeks ago give or take a few days. I don't know for sure it's all kinda a blur. Well they did surgery after 2 days of her being in the hospital. first I should tell you that my mom Has a bad Liver and needs a Transplant. That being said Before she broke her leg. she had been sick a few days prior, She had told me that if she didn't get better she was going to have to Go to the hospital. Well after her Surgery she was in Recovery for a long time because her blood pressure was low. They finally Put her in ICU and she was there for several Days. Let me just say it was really Hard to see her in the condition she was in. Because my mom has a bad liver her body does not clean out like ours does ( your liver is the filter for your body) so the med's that they gave her to do the surgery etc... took longer to leave her system. the Dr said it could take 5-7 days. Well in ICU they Discovered that her ammonia levels were Very elevated they were 120 and a normal persons are 20 I believe. So they had to give her med's to flush her system so they could bring them down. All the while my mom is sleeping and when she is awake she is very agitated and not herself she is in another world at this time. Yelling help me and Crying out for my Grandma when she would talk ( her mom has been Gone since 95) . It was all terrifying and more then any of us could take. After being in ICU for several Day and Getting her Ammonia levels Down they moved her to another room. This time out of ICU. She started hallucinating saying that their where camera's in the room and that the nurse's were being mean to her etc... She was also very paranoid. Really off the wall stuff for my mom but she was starting to come around and be more like she had prior to having surgery. Day by Day I could see her progressing and she made Great Strides the last few days she was in the hospital. She is Talking Normal now and is in a Rehabilitation Center now to help her Learn to walk again. She is still on the Road to Recovery and is still a little cloudy when it comes to her thoughts. But all in all she is much better. She still has a long Road ahead of her But Her Faith in God and her Strength Have Taught me a Lesson in Faith. That there is truly Nothing you Cannot pull Though with God on your Side. My mom is a Remarkable Woman of Strength and I know it's because Of God and God alone. My Mom will be Celebrating her Birthday on Tuesday in the Rehab center she is Going to be (61) ssshhh don't tell. Some of our Church family are coming and the band and we are going to show her a Good time. If you are Reading this Could you please say a prayer for my mom (Patricia) that she would Recover fast and that she would Get the liver that she needs If that is God's will. I Gotta leave it in his hands and that is sometimes hard for me to Do. I Really Don't want to lose her. I want her to see our Children and their Children if God will allow her that time with us here. Thank You God for allowing her to be my mom although we have not always seen eye to eye. I love her and Love is enough for anyone.
